When Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) distinguishes himself as the postal academy’s worst student, he is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle, where the feuding locals hardly exchange words let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in local teacher Alva (Rashida Jones), and discovers Klaus (Oscar® winner J.K. Simmons), a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys.

These unlikely friendships return laughter to Smeerensburg, forging a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical lore and stockings hung by the chimney with care.

In Smeerensburg a town on a small frozen island in the coldest part above the Arctic  Circle where the neighbours barely talk to each other and if they do it is to fall out.

The Postal Academy’s worst student Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) is about to give up until he finds a friendly local teacher Alva (Rashida Jones)  and discovers Klaus (Oscar® winner J.K. Simmons) a mysterious carpenter who lives by himself with his amazing handmade toys.

Their  unlikely friendship brings back laughter to the town and a new era of happy and generous neighbours and magical lore and Stockings hung by the chimney

The United Kingdom like every country has its favourite iconic Christmas TV Adverts which are now considered ‘An Event’ with a huge impact on Social Media when they air on television, many families (mine included) want to be the first to have ‘seen it’ and they become the subject of much discussion  amongst family, friends & colleagues alike.

Are they as good as last year, is it a classic one that will be remembered for years? after all, they are now multi-million cost Hollywood style productions we have become to expect a lot from them and they can make or break a companies fortunes for that year

The brilliant Aldi ad that sends up gently what the whole of the United Kingdom genuinely becomes very excited about, the annual Christmas ad from John Lewis Partnership

It’s because of the wonderful story that is always involved and the Hollywood style production the use in the making of an advert for a retailer that does not advertise any goods in particular.

It just makes you feel wonderful about the store in oarticular and Christmas
